Trending Now: Moda in Pelle Trend Guide launches
10 September, 2013
The world of trends in fashion has become a minefield and shoe trends are now following where clothes lead. To help their customers get their heads around the trends that have filtered down from the Fashion Weeks, trade shows and runway shows, Moda in Pelle have launched their trend section which is a stylish blog to help customers scan through the trends and ponder how to style their new AW wardrobe.
Moda in Pelle maybe a high street brand but in recent years they have been putting the focus back onto quality with made in Italy leather shoes at a good price point in styles that are both on trend, embellished with their own in house design team creating unique details on the shoes. It is a relief to see a return to leather after the past few years where even high quality brands were turning away from leather and selling stinky, plastic shoes that may have had full fashion credentials but were poor quality and fell to pieces. I have to say I detest plastic shoes, unless they are a deliberately plastic or rubber shoe like Melissa.
Distressed leather and hardware detailing is a key trend, works well with the Folkloric look but also with the Cobalt trend colour way
The key trends that Moda in Pelle have identified for AW13 are:
Androgenous – flats with attitude, slippers, brogues
Gothic Romance – dark glitter as we fall back to black in our wardrobe
Modern Classics which is all about the shoeboot and high heels
Urbanite - which playes on the wedge trainer and rock chick boots
Utility Chic – with chunky boots and heavy buckle detailing
Moda in Pelle are expanding their retail both online and by opening up two new stores mostly concessions in department stores per week.
Must haves this autumn are the detailed slipper, burgundy and dark green are key colours. Distressed leather boots in tan, taupe and grey, shoe boots are remaining objets of desire and wedge trainer is here to stay for another season, embellishments are strong, and I predict that the cowboy/biker boots are "The" shoe to match with the Folkloric trend and more boho winter florals, here are some of our picks.
